Alejandra Lozano
I am Alejandra Lozano Flores, a Midwife and Doula with 13 years of experience on this path and the honor of having accompanied over 200 women through their births. My learning has been a living blend of tradition and science: I have trained alongside great mentors in Chiapas, Tulum, and Monterrey, and have collaborated in birth centers across the country. I complement this ancestral wisdom with technical training, allowing me to serve as a strong bridge between traditional medicine and current evidence-based care.
Beyond clinical care, my work extends into spiritual support through rituals for rites of passage, transformation, and transmutation. For me, midwifery is a way of life that I practice with passion and alignment—responsibly holding space for every woman’s power as she transitions into motherhood and navigates deep processes of change.
Simone Toomer, CD/CBE(DTI), IBCLC, CLSC, LCCE, LLLL, ISE
After my 2nd was born at home with a supportive birth team, I further realized how important a trusted, skilled care provider and support team were and made a difference. I struggled with breastfeeding for the first 2 weeks, which was a drastically different experience from with my first. Despite feeling discouraged at times, I called on my community for support and advice. I realized before how birth preferences can be different, however through my own experience realized how each journey can be different too, as is each family. I respect and honor this and bring forth education and non-judgmental care to the families I serve.
As a mother, I continue to be active in local perinatal and parenting circles such as La Leche League, Mocha Moms and support groups and teach for MESH moms CLT and Breath of Life Birthworkers Association.
